The possibility to study environmental microbiology as well as the flexibility of the studies brought Master’s student Eric Schaedig to Helsinki. He wants to use microbes to solve environmental challenges and is looking into if cyanobacteria could be used to make a sustainable sunscreen. We talked to Eric Schaedig and Sarah Butcher what it is like to study in the Master's Programme in Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology. You can apply to this and our 34 other International Master’s Programmes as of 3 Dec 2019 until 10 Jan 2020.
