Children born with the help of fertility treatments have a higher risk of premature birth and low birth weight - especially if they derived from fresh embryo transfer. Surprisingly, children derived from frozen embryo transfer have subtly higher birth weight in average. So is there a difference? A research team looked for mechanisms how the in vitro fertilization can alter the embryonic growth.
