Meet the teacher! In 2003, Kathrin Komp-Leukkunen was a performer in the art piece ‘A Life (Black and White)’ by Nedko Solakov at the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt, Germany. At the time, she was studying political science as well as working part-time, and this was one of the most interesting and relaxing of her jobs. Today, Kathrin is a researcher and an associate professor teaching in the Master’s Programme in Contemporary Societies. Her research focuses on topics such as work and retirement, population ageing and life-courses. “I enjoy teaching, as it is a two-way street: I also learn from the students.” Applications are currently open to our 36 International Master’s Programmes for studies starting in autumn 2022. The deadline to apply is on 5 Jan 2022.
