Meet the teacher! In 2003, Mika Koskenoja attended a conferment ceremony, a three-day celebration where Masters and Doctors celebrate the degrees they have achieved. Then twenty students attended his first extensive mathematics course about probability calculus. This year, he taught the same course for 450 attendees. Today, Mika is a mathematician who teaches in the Master’s Programme in Mathematics and Statistics. He is a university lecturer in mathematics and a member of the Teachers’ Academy – a network of top-level teachers. “In mathematics and learning, the journey to the solution matters more than the correct answer.” The applications to our 35 International Master’s Programmes are open from 1 Dec 2020 to 15 Jan 2021.
