Whodunit? DNA, fingerprints, and forensic chemistry for high school students is one of the most popular science education courses of our science education centre in Lahti! In this course, the high school students use DNA techniques and methods from environmental chemistry to solve the imaginary crime: who is the perpetrator and what happened? For the DNA part, the students use equipment in the local science class, and for the environmental chemistry part, one of our research laboratories is used. The Centre is located on the Lahti University Campus Lahden Yliopistokampus, which is a science community of some 200 experts in Lahti that we run together with LUT University.
